Yamaha Music Center by Mike C. (YMC by Mike C.)

In 1922 visionary Michael Caderamanpulle introduced Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) to the magic of Yamaha Pianos. A journey that has been as timeless as music itself, Michael Snr was a pioneer in the distribution of the worlds most acclaimed musical instrument outside its home in Japan.
Michael Caderamanpulle the second (Michael Jnr), sought to add to his father legacy and, in 1963, led the expansion of the Yamaha Music Centre. A name now synonymous with the finest musical instruments, world class audio equipment and an unrivalled home theatre experience. As it grew from strength to strength, the organisation established a comprehensive service centre with expertise in every aspect of sound, with the aim of providing the finest technical service and support to the growing community of musicians and music lovers on the island.
The Yamaha Music Centre flagship store is home to award winning brands of musical instruments and audio equipment. A professional in-house recording studio provides our customers and aspiring musicians with a best-in-class resource and we are supported by a strong island wide dealer network with over 120 stores. Our story does not end here, as our founder Mike C would have us aspire to reach new heights, we launched the Yamaha School of Music in 1980. Over the last four decades the Yamaha School of Music has proudly introduced a diverse range of musicians and music experts both in Sri Lanka and internationally and continues to inspire students every day.
Together, our dedicated family of professionals serve the growing community of musicians in Sri Lanka through the iconic Yamaha Music Centre, home to internationally acclaimed brands and proud service excellence.
